What the trial gives you
- Every feature, including encryption, cloud sync and export.
- 30 days. No account, no credit card.
- An internet connection on first launch, to register the trial.
- AI uses your own provider or a local model; provider fees may apply.
- Starts in English. Switch to one of the other seven languages under Settings → General → Language.
After the trial
When the trial ends, or if you subscribe and later cancel, editing is no longer available, and neither are the AI chat and the external tool integrations. Opening, syncing and exporting your documents stays free, with no time limit. Your files never become unreadable because a payment stopped.
System requirements
- Windows 11, 64-bit.
- Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, used to show diagrams and formulas. It is included in Windows 11.
Using a Mac?
Folio.md is Windows-only for now, and there is no date for a macOS build yet.
